“Inside the instruments” contains 5 electroacoustic pieces composed between 2004 and 2008.
They are based on vocal or instrumental recordings, in which the instruments are not used in conventional way. Therefore some "slap" in "Inside the pipe", some sounds gotten with maximum pressure and low velocity of the bow in "Con l’arco", some sounds gotten stopping, striking, plucking and brushing the strings and the instrument’s body of a piano in "Hammerklavier".
A sort of ideal trip inside the noisy parts of the acoustic instruments and of the human voice. The electronic device allows to analyze and to resynthesize such complexes sounds, extracting some features from it, exploring the zone that goes from the noise to the pitched sound, modifying the attack or the decay of it, and assembling it in the time-domain in order to build an organic form.
